They love to play games so if you turn exercise into a game they will follow. Preschoolers love to race so if you really aren’t creative just race them they love it.
Picky Eaters
Picky eaters are very common among preschoolers. Some preschoolers base this on texture others base it on color. Whatever the reason they are very adamant about it, in order to over come this we introduce new foods in a fun and exciting way. We cut the food in thier favorite shapes or we may need to hide it in plain sightfor example if they do not like veggies we would blend it into a pasta sauce.
Potty Training
Potty Training maybe one of the biggest accomplishments of the preschool years. Many parents wonder when, how, what. First things first are they showing interest are they off the bottle and are you the parent ready? Potty training for some is a bbreeze lets talk potty tricks if you are able use an potty seat insert on a normal toilet and step stool start early in the morning when they first wake up if they are staying dry through the night. Some parents suggest special toys or books only for the potty. Next a reward system this is only a suggestion if nothing else works. They will get there some take more time than others. usually around two years old. Native Shoes THE MISCHIEVOUS GENIUS are great for potty training they rinse right out or any ones like them.
Separation Anxiety
Separation Anxiety can be stressful for parents and child. Taking time at drop off helps ease the anxiety. Leaving a family picture with your little one or a special blanket or stuffed animal, Early morning talks can be helpful tell them what you are going to be doing and ask what they think they might want to do during their time away from you. sometimes it has to be a short and sweet goodbye i will see you later maybe mention a time you will be back like after naptime or after they have outside time so they have an idea of when to expect you.
Shopping Troubles
You might find that going to the store with your preschooler is challenging now and we know the looks some parents get when a child is very unhappy they didnt get something.
